Betty Marie Lees, 100, a resident of Garvey Manor Nursing Home, formerly of Patton, died February 9, 2021 at Garvey Manor. Born April 26, 1920 in Washington DC, daughter of the late Charles C. and Alice P. (Kussmaul) Hill. Preceded in death by husband, Edward S. Sr. on August 15, 1991, brother, Charles, and sisters; Alice Jean Hill, Helen Prinkey, and Marjorie Clarke. Survived by children; Ruth Ann (Clarence “Bugs”) Adams of Patton, Glenn (Mary Lee Webster) of Fairfax, VA, Gail Lees of Frederick, MD, and Edward Jr. (Teresa Stevens) of Delmar, DE, 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. Betty was the last member of her immediate family. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She enjoyed playing games with her family and on her iPad especially with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, she also enjoyed arts and crafts. Betty worked for a telephone company in Washington DC for a number of years and served as secretary/treasurer for the Church of God in Woodland Beach, MD. Friends will be received from 10:00 AM until time of funeral service at 11:00 AM Friday at the Gibbons Funeral Home, 1688 Liberty St., Ashville, PA 16613, Rev. Laura McCombie, officiating.
