Harry Robert “Bob” Gibbons 81, Ashville, died January 5, 2019 at the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home. Born March 18, 1937 in Altoona, son of the late Harry A. “Rick” and Hilda M. (Yahner) Gibbons. Preceded in death by wife, the former Janet Garrity on February 17, 2016, and infant daughter, Margaret Mary. Survived by children, Stephen (Susan Knueve) of Huber Heights, OH, Kevin (Barbara Speck) of Colorado Springs, Col., Glenn of Ashville and Molly (Mark) Lawley of Sarasota, FL, and 6 grandchildren. Bob worked as a police officer for Clearfield Twp. for several years, he also worked at the railroad and as a truck driver for Crane’s Poultry. He was a Marine Corps Veteran of the Korean War. Member of the Mainline Police Assn., Teamsters Union, Local 110, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Disabled American Veterans where he volunteered as a driver, Gallitzin American Legion Post # 174,  and St. Lazarus, Martha and Mary Old Roman Catholic Church, St. Lawrence, where funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Saturday. Committal, Church Cemetery. Friends will be received from 5 until 8 PM Friday at the Gibbons Funeral Home, 1688 Liberty St., Ashville, PA 16613. www.gibbonsfhashvillecoalport.com
