Robin Fortney, 60, Ashville, died April 29, 2017 at Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. Born September 30, 1956 in Altoona, daughter of the late Henry and Ruth (Cox) Hincherick. Preceded in death by brother, Gene. Survived by son; Richard “J.R.” Fortney of Pittsburgh, sister, Lucy (Dwight) Glass of Fallentimber and brother, Henry “Butch” (Judy Jastrzembowski) of Marysville, MI Also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and numerous cousins, and special friend, Theresa Dunmyer of Lilly. Robin was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church, Ashville where she enjoyed volunteering and was a Eucharistic Minister, she also enjoyed watching football on television especially her favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys. She loved reading books and especially spending time with her family. She was a volunteer in Pastoral Care at Bon Secours Hospital, Altoona for several years. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 PM Tuesday at the Gibbons Funeral Home, 1688 Liberty St., Ashville, PA 16613, where a Vigil Service will be held at 7:00 PM Tuesday. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Wednesday at St. Thomas Catholic Church, Ashville, Rev. Robert Reese, Celebrant. Committal, Church Cemetery.
