William F. “Bill” Hartzog, 75, of Patton, died June 1, 2024, at home. Born May 8, 1949, in Spangler, son of the late Earl and Olive (Johnston) Hartzog. Survived by daughters: Nicole (Robert) Eckenrode, and Beth (Daniel) Skiles, mother of their daughters, Margaret (McConnell) Hartzog, granddaughters: Olivia and Hailey Skiles, brother, Earl (Sue) Hartzog, sisters: Cathy (John) Stiltner, Tillie Roman, and Monica (Dave) Cunningham. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Bill was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked as a truck driver for many years and then retired from SCI Huntingdon Prison. Bill spent many years involved with Cambria County 4-H and the Carrolltown Saddle Club and enjoyed watching his daughters and granddaughter in the show ring. Friends will be received from 6 until 7 PM Thursday at the Gibbons Funeral Home, 1688 Liberty St., Ashville, PA 16613.
