Wilbert S. “Wib” Adams, 83, St. Augustine, died August 27, 2021 at home. Born May 14, 1938 in St. Augustine, son of the late J. Harry and Mary Ellen (Conrad) Adams. Preceded in death by first wife, the former Mary E. McConnell, brothers; Robert and Patrick, and sister, Eileen Kelly. Survived by wife, the former Mary Jane (Krise) Lauer whom he married September 15, 2006, children; Cathy (Bill) Smithmyer, Wayne (Renie Troxell), Jim (Susan Pilley) all of Dysart, Joanne (Scott) Springer of Arlington, VA, 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, brothers and sisters; Margaret McCoy, Jack (Joy), Bill (Pat), Minerva (Ron) Brannigan, Barbara (Joe) Klisiewicz, and Dave (Paula). Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Wib enjoyed farming, fishing, hunting, bird watching and flowers. Member of the Holy Name Society and St. Augustine Catholic Church, where funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Wednesday, Rev. Joseph Fleming, Celebrant. Committal, St. Augustine Cemetery. Friends will be received from 4 until 8 PM Tuesday at the Gibbons Funeral Home, 1688 Liberty St., Ashville, PA 16613.
