Wayne F. Gallagher

Wayne F. Gallagher, 82, of Ashville, passed away on July 13, 2026 at home surrounded by family. Born June 9, 1944 in Ashville, son of Aloda Groce Gallagher. He is preceded in death by his grandsons, Brent Zumstein Jr. and Eli Gallagher; sisters, Debbie and Robin Groce; and brothers, Norman and Barry Groce. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Dora Gallagher; daughter, Melissa Zumstein of Ashville and grandson, Sgt Brandon Riley of the United States Army; children, Garrett Gallagher of Altoona, Carmen (Kevin) Wertz of Altoona and Corena (Carl) Weber of Tennessee; 16 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. Wayne was the owner and operator of Gallagher and Gallagher Cleaning for over 30 years. He enjoyed traveling, bingo, long rides, his surviving dog Micky, and his past dogs, Pepper, Buddy, and Tinker. Family and friends will be received on Friday, August 7, 2026 from 5 to 8 pm at Gibbons-Penksa Funeral Home, 1688 Liberty St. Ashville, PA 16613. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026 at 7:30 at Gibbons-Penksa Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the family.
