Thomas F. Gauntner, 70, Altoona, died December 1, 2020. Born March 9, 1950 in Ashville, son of the late Raymond and Geraldine (Krug) Gauntner. Preceded in death brother, Kenneth. Survived by children; Heather (Kenneth) Novosel, Jolene (Jon) Stell and Clint (Steph), 5 grandchildren; Jordan, Marcus, Kylee, Makayla, and Brendan, former wife, Brenda (Conrad) Gauntner, sister, Marjorie (Don) McMullen, brother, Michael (Diane Bakale) and several nieces and nephews. Tom was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid outdoorsman. He had worked at the James E. Van Zandt VA Medical Center in maintenance until he retired in 2007. Tom was a member of the Ashville VFW and several other local organizations. At the request of the deceased there will be no viewing or service.
