Thomas “Toot” Baker, 89, of Cresson, formerly of Dysart, died April 9, 2024, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 29, 1935, in Ashville, son of the late Charles Roy and Hazel (Delaney) Baker. He was preceded in death by daughters, Darlene Dunmyer and Lois Dunmyer, brothers; Kenny, Junior, Harold, Glenn “Sneeze”, and Ronnie, and sister, Janet Sweet. Survived by loving wife of 70 years, the former Dorothy Passonetti, whom he married February 27, 1954, in Ashville, daughter Debbie (Joe) Yartin of Dysart, son-in-law, Robert Dunmyer of Cresson, grandchildren; Erika (John) Kreshalk, Brent Dunmyer, and Laura (Shawn) Cunningham, great grandchildren, Dylan, Kendahl, Lucy and Ben, brother, Jim and sister Donna Lesniak. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Toot enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing cards. He was an excellent cement finisher. Member of the Ashville VFW and Gallitzin Moose.
