Sherman P. Link, 70, Chest Springs, died January 11, 2022 at UPMC Altoona. Born February 21, 1951 in Altoona, son of the late Herman P. and Leanore M. (Ivory) Link. Preceded in death by wife, the former Brenda Beck on December 21, 2011, daughter, Tracy in 2013, and sister, Verna Sherry. Survived by children; Patrick of Chest Springs and Sherri (David) Hoover of Ocala, FL, grandchildren; Leo (Maria) Hoover and Jennifer (Mike) Koontz, great grandchildren; Miley, Sophie, Jonathan and Alexander, sisters; Lucille (Edwin) Sherry, Joyce Ann (Joseph) Sherry, Patricia (Harry) Miller, brothers; Russell (Joy Francisco), and Stephen (Stephanie Hale), Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Sherm enjoyed Karaoke and D.J. ing. He had worked at Greenwich Mines, Cherry Tree for 23 years and owned and operated Link Shortstop Convenience Store, Ashville for a number of years. Member of the UMWA, Patton VFW, Legion and Moose.
