Sharon J. (Saletnik) Megahan

Sharon Megahan, 65, Bellwood, died Easter Sunday, April 17, 2022 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born January 21, 1957 in Altoona, daughter of the late Walter “Wissie” and Elva (Ball) Saletnik. Preceded in death by infant sons: Steven and Mark Jr. Mazzarese, brother, Barry, infant sisters; Elizabeth and Darlene, special cousin, Shirley Templon, and sister in law, Michelle Megahan. Survived by her husband, Robert, whom she married December 12, 2003 in Altoona, daughter, Marcie (Martin) Over of Altoona, grandchildren: Violet and Elliott, stepsons: Thomas (Katie) Megahan and Joseph Megahan of Altoona, former husband, Mark (Linda) Mazzarese of Delaware, special cousin and God Child, Beth Ann Bem, brothers and sisters in law: Richard (Mary) Megahan, John Megahan, Carla Williams, Sue Megahan, Michael Megahan, and Jeff (Karen) Megahan. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Sharon enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, watching her granddaughter Violet play basketball for Bishop Guilfoyle, cooking, crafting, her swimming pool, her dog Grace, and game nights with friends. She retired in 2021 after 35 years of service at Tri State Industrial Solutions, Altoona. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bellwood where funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Thursday, Rev. Jozef Kovacik, Celebrant. Committal, St. Joseph Cemetery, Coupon. Friends will be received from 4 until 7 PM Wednesday at the Gibbons Funeral Home, 1688 Liberty St., Ashville, PA 16613, where a Vigil Service will be held at 3:30 PM.
