Ruth C. O’Donnell, 94, of Ebensburg, formerly of Sankertown, died August 25, 2021 at Amber Hills, Ebensburg. Born July 15, 1927 in St. Augustine, daughter of the late Alphonsus and Romana (Warner) Baker. Preceded in death by husband, John “Bill” in 1984, daughter in law, Linda (McConnell) O’Donnell, son in law, Barry Serma, great granddaughter, Cadence McMullen, and these brothers and sisters; Bernard, Fritz, Herman, Clarence, Charles, James, Paul, William, Monica Baker, Orlene Baker and Delores Young. Survived by children; Randy (Denise), Brian (Tracy), Bevin (Ronnie), Cindy Eckenrode, Doug (Mary Ann) and Ruanne Serma (fiancé, Jerry Benzie), numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Ruth was the last member of her immediate family. She enjoyed traveling. At the request of the deceased there will be no viewing. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Friday September 3, 2021 at the Basilica of St. Michael, Loretto, Very Rev. John D. Byrnes, Celebrant. Interment, St. Michael Cemetery.
