Rosemary A. Long, 91, of R.D. Patton, died December 21, 2022 at home. Born May 15, 1931 in Grindstone, PA, daughter of the late John and Mary (Latsko) Rohaley. Preceded in death by husband, Earl on March 17, 2007, daughter Maureen on February 14, 1969, sisters; Dolores Williams, Dorothy Porzucek, Rita Fowler, and Bernadine Einloth, and brother, John. Survived by children; Paul (Janice Long), Barbara (Dan) Minielli, Laura Long (John Fraser), and John (Stacey Carman), 5 grandchildren; Frank, Vinnie, Sydney, Ben and Kathryn, 4 step grandchildren; Betsy, Alex (Lauren), Simon, and Hugh Fraser, brothers and sisters; Cecelia Beresford (Herb Schilling), Mary Ellen McClellan, George (Linda), Robert (Louise), and Joanne Hendricks. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Rosemary enjoyed spending time with her family, she was an avid reader, and enjoyed bowling and gardening. She had worked as a registered nurse at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh and later she worked as a bookkeeper for Long Farms, Patton. Rosemary volunteered for the Red Cross and was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, where a funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 27, 2022, Rev. Jerzy Auguscik OFM, Celebrant. Committal, St. Augustine Cemetery. Friends will be received from 4 until 7 PM Monday at the Gibbons Funeral Home, 1688 Liberty St., Ashville, PA 16613.
