Rosemary “Boola” Freidhof, 86, a resident of Homewood at Martinsburg, formerly of Munster, died December 29, 2022 at Homewood. Born May 12, 1936 in Altoona, daughter of the late Lawrence and Mary (Moran) Ahles. Preceded in death by brother, Paul, sisters; Jane Mento, Florence (Filak) Zelensky, and Doris Ruffley. Survived by husband of 66 years, Raymond “Goob” Freidhof Jr., whom she married April 7, 1956 in Cresson, children; Lenny (Tina Foulds) of Mechanicsburg, Jeff (Vicki Adams) of Munster, Bob (Linda Little) of Munster, and Karen (Jan) Vinglas of Cresson, 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Boola was the last member of her immediate family. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She had worked in food service at St Francis University, Loretto for 27 years and retired in 1995. She was a member of the Loretto American Legion and the Basilica of St. Michael the Archangel, Loretto, where a funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 PM Tuesday, Very Rev. John D. Byrnes, Celebrant. Committal, St. Michael Cemetery. Friends will be received from 4 until 8 PM Monday at the Gibbons Funeral Home, 1688 Liberty St., Ashville, PA 16613.
