Ronald F. Taddy, 82, of R.D. Gallitzin, died February 18, 2024, at UPMC Altoona. Born August 20, 1941, in R.D. Gallitzin, son of the late Francis H. and Margaret (Kroskey) Taddy. Preceded in death by wife, the former Barbara Gray, and sons: Scott Taddy and Bill Davis. Survived by his fiancé, Leah Grove, children: Bill Taddy (Michelle), Dana “Bud” (Kenzi) Davis, and Ben (Chrisa) Davis, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, siblings, Faye Ann (Dick) Gormish, David (Donna), and Gary (Peg). Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Ron enjoyed hunting and fishing. He retired from Tacoma Mines, Indiana after years of service. Member of the UMWA and Local 2494, and St. Demetrius Catholic Church, Gallitzin, where a funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Friday, Rev. Albert Ledoux, Celebrant. Committal, St. Patrick Cemetery, Gallitzin. Friends will be received from 5 until 8 PM Thursday at the Gibbons Funeral Home, 1688 Liberty St. Ashville, PA 16613, where a Vigil Service will be held Thursday.
