Ronald J. Galat

Ronald J. Galat, 61, of Altoona, died November 29, 2023, at home after an extended illness. He was born May 17, 1962, in Altoona, son of Richard Galat and Joan M. (Robbins) Taylor . Preceded in death by stepfather, William J. Taylor, brothers: William Galat and Wayne “Rick” Galat, stepbrother, Steven Taylor and stepsister, Pamela Webster. Survived by mother of Altoona, special friend, Deborah Baker of Altoona and her great grandchildren, Gavin and Violet, sisters: Karen (Galat) Carles and Tammy (Joseph) Finegan all of Altoona. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Ron enjoyed music and he appeared twice on the Live with Regis and Kathie Morning Show on NBC. He retired as a disc jockey. There will be no viewing.
