Richard D. Gallaher Jr., 59, of Irvona, passed away unexpectedly from a logging accident on October 13, 2021. Born February 21, 1962 in Philipsburg, son of the late Richard D. Sr. and Phyllis J. (Queen) Gallaher. Survived by wife, the former Bernadette McClellan, children; LaDawn (Shawn) Yingling, Richard D. Gallaher lll, and Jonathan Gallaher, stepchildren; William McClellan, Travis Myers, and Katelyn Myers, numerous grandchildren, siblings; Anna (Bob) Hamilton, John (Brenda Miles) Gallaher, and Tracy Rudy. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Richard was a lifetime logger, mechanic, and avid weed wacker. He was always up for a good meal and enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. He had a heart of gold and will be greatly missed. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
