Raymond G. Stoy Sr., 84, Ashville, died January 8, 2022 at home surrounded by his family. Born January 23, 1937 in Ashville, son of the late George and Grace (Johnston) Stoy. Preceded in death by infant brother, Philip, brothers; Bruce, Pete, and Lt. Col. Thomas Stoy, and sisters; Thelma “Tessie” Stoy and Ann Wagner. Survived by wife of 61 years, the former Shirley L. Imler, whom he married December 31, 1960 in Altoona, sons; Andy and Randy both of Altoona, David of Liverpool and Scott of Carlisle, 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, brothers; Jack (Shirley), and Joe, sisters; Nancy (Leroy) Fogle, Peggy Blair, and Sandra Trinkley, sister in law, Shelby Stoy, and numerous nieces and nephews. Ray enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, boating, and camping. He had worked as a carpenter for numerous employers. Ray was a very active member of St. Thomas Catholic Church, Ashville, where a funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Tuesday, Rev. Robert Reese, Celebrant. Committal, St. Thomas Cemetery, Ashville.
