R. Jean (Rydbom) Trusz, 93, of Lyleville, died November 10, 2024, at Colonial Courtyard at Tyrone. She was born on December 31, 1930, in Coalport, daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Miles) Gill. Preceded in death by first husband, Eugene (Whitey) Rydbom in 1973 and second husband John Trusz in 2013, stillborn son, Gary Rydbom, siblings: Woody, Betty, Margaret, Bill, and Russ, and adopted parents, Joseph and Lottie (Miles) Kruise. Survived by children: Diane (Pat) Andrews, Karen (Barrie) Kutruff, and Randy (Linda) Rydbom, step-daughter Deb Burns, 8 grandchildren: Ryan (Nadia) Andrews, Jared (Amy) Andrews, Shannon (John) Milligan, Justin Rydbom, Brad (Janae) Rydbom, Tyler (Courtney) Rydbom, Kevin (Katie) Burns, and Brian (Catherine) Burns, and 18 Great Grandchildren. Jean was the last member of her immediate family. She enjoyed spending time with her family and church activities. She had worked for Greinader and Bowman’s Department Stores in Coalport for a number of years. She was an active member of the Coalport Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, where visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Friday and from 10:00 AM until time of funeral service at 11:00 AM Saturday, Pastor Michael Dorich and Rev. Isaac Stuart officiating. Interment, Fairview Cemetery, R.D. LaJose, PA. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Coalport Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Jean’s memory.
