Patricia L. Hoover, 68, Patton, died December 14, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born January 12, 1952 in Spangler, daughter of the late Joseph F. and M. Genevieve (Durbin) Zerbee. Preceded in death by sister, Rose Marie Zerbee. Survived by husband of 42 years, Donald L. Hoover, whom she married July 22, 1978 in Chest Springs, daughters; Nichole Hoover of Patton, Martina (Jeremy) Snyder of Patton, and Lindsey (Kenneth) Billings of Portage, 5 grandchildren; Alexis, Kenny, Noah, Lucas and Genevieve, brother, John (Vicki Pietrolungo) of Duncansville, and numerous nieces and nephews. Patty enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her flower garden. She received her B.S. degree from St. Francis College, Loretto and her master’s degree from Indiana University. Patty worked as an elementary school teacher for Cambria Heights School District for 34 years and retired in 2009. Member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, where funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Friday, Rev. Jerzy Auguscik, Celebrant. Committal, St. Augustine Cemetery. Friends will be received from 4 until 8 PM Thursday at the Gibbons Funeral Home, 1688 Liberty St., Ashville, PA 16613, where a Vigil Service will be held Thursday. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to St. Augustine Catholic Church in Patty’s memory.
