Michael R. Kovaloski, 75, Irvona, died July 13, 2021 at home. Born March 7, 1946 in Altoona, son of the late Michael R. Jr. and Irene L. (Butterbaugh) Kovaloski. Preceded in death by sister, Tresa Hamilton. Survived by wife of almost 55 years, the former Carol Jean Cherish, whom he married July 23, 1966 at St. Basil Catholic Church, Coalport, sons; James Michael (Dawn Anderson) of Henderson, KY and Anthony Michael of Houtzdale, 3 grandchildren; Hunter, Natasha and Catrena, brother, Victor (Karen) of Altoona and sister, Mary (Terry) Hamilton of Coalport. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Mike was an Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam Era War. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He retired from SCI Houtzdale as a prison guard.
