Michael L. “Red” Harpster, 63, Flinton, died August 27, 2021 at home. Born October 22, 1957 in Spangler, son of the late Russ and Wildamae (Brink) Harpster. Preceded in death by daughter, Heidi, and son Mark. Survived by wife of 44 years, the former Margaret Johnson, whom he married June 11, 1977 in Irvona, son, Michael (Brandy Lowe) of Rosebud, granddaughters, Addison and Isabella, brothers; Russ (Carol) of Flinton, Richard “Harv” (Donna) of Roseland, brother in law, Thomas (Margaret) of Irvona, and numerous nieces and nephews. Red enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters and he attended all of their activities. He also enjoyed bowling, and had bowled 26 perfect 300 games, and  he enjoyed traveling. He had worked for Benjamin and Flango Coal Mines, and retired in 2019 as a rural USPS Carrier from the Tyrone office. Member of the Glendale Assembly of God Church, USBA (Bowling Academy), Bavarian Club, Altoona. Friends will be received from 4 until 8 PM Monday and from 10:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM Tuesday at the Gibbons Funeral Home, 1085 Main St., Coalport, PA 16627, Rev. Jonathan Hendren, officiating. Interment, Beaver Valley Cemetery, Flinton.
