Matt Knopp, 38, of Lilly, died March 24, 2024, at home. Born January 29, 1986, in Altoona, son of Francis A. Knopp and Barbara A. (Russian) Knopp. Survived by father and step mother Francis (Cindy) Knopp of Ebensburg, and mother, Barbara Knopp of Hollidaysburg, wife, the former Emily Kleman, whom he married December 1, 2019 in Baltimore, MD, children; Taylor Burkett of Ebensburg, Liam Knopp at home and a daughter, Lydia, to be born in April, sister, Dana (Michael) Harris and their children, Dominick and Maverick of Altoona, mother and father-in-law Dave and Kathy (Lamar) Kleman of Gallitzin, sisters-in-law; Alison (Dan) Connacher and their son Joey of Loretto, and Elizabeth Kleman of Gallitzin. Matt enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, cooking, cars, hockey, and ATV riding. He worked as a CNC Machinist for 15 years. Friends will be received from 4 until time of funeral service at 7 PM Wednesday at the Gibbons Funeral Home, 1688 Liberty St., Ashville, PA 16613, Rev. Cal Wiedemann, officiating.
