Mary C. “Kay” Plazek, 74, of Sankertown, died July 11, 2023, at home surrounded by her family. She was born February 4, 1949, in Loretto, daughter of the late Adolf “Doss” and Anna (Mulvehill) Stich. Preceded in death by husband Gary in 1993, daughter, Lori Plazek, and grandson Nicholas Link. Survived by children: Vicki Toth, Brenda Link, Jeffrey (Melissa Prebish), and Erin (David) Turek, 11 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, brothers and sisters: Beverly Bertison, Bertha Stich, Clement “Bud” (Mary Ann) Stich, Theresa (Ted) Plazek, and John (Gaillee) Stich. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Kay enjoyed playing cards with her grandchildren. She had worked as a stewardess for Loretto American Legion for many years. Friends will be received from 4 until 8 PM Thursday and from 10:00 AM until time of funeral service at 11:00 AM Friday at the Gibbons Funeral Home, 1688 Liberty St., Ashville, PA 16613, Rev.
