Mary Ann (Wilt) Weakland, 79, of Ashville, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2026 at UPMC Altoona, surrounded by her loving family. Born September 30, 1946, in Dysart, she was the daughter of the late Augustine “Gus” and Philomena (Monahan) Wilt. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 58 years, James “Jim” Weakland, on April 16, 2024; her brothers, Leo of Dysart and Thomas of Redding, California; and her sister, Phyllis Ann Wilt. She is survived by her brother, Joseph of Dysart, Sister-in-Law Dorothy (Leo) Wilt, Brother-in-Law Chris (Tom) Putland, Children; Sharon (Matthew) Cursio and Gary (Tammy Bender) Weakland; and her cherished grandchildren, Chelsea Cursio (Matthew Machado), Derek (Morgan Hilling) Cursio, Tyler Weakland (Codie Cox), Gavin Weakland (Julia Driskel), and Kurtis Weakland. She was also blessed with 3 great-grandchildren; who brought her immense joy. Mary Ann found her greatest happiness in time spent with her family, particularly her grandchildren. She had a passion for quilting, creating diamond art, and enjoyed playing cards. Mary Ann valued the simple moments spent with those she loved most, especially her circle of close family and friends. Her love for her family was unwavering and will be deeply missed. It brings comfort to know she is reunited once again with her beloved husband. At the request of the deceased, there will be no public viewing. A private Mass will be held for the family. Arrangements are under the care of Gibbons Funeral Home, Ashville.
