Martin M. Baker, 79, Cresson, died August 14, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born March 14, 1942 in Carrolltown, son of the late Robert H. and Elizabeth C. (Bearer) Baker. Preceded in death by grandson, Jimmy Yohn, who was killed in action during the Iraq War, and several brothers and sisters. Survived by wife of 58 years, the former Kathryn Thomas, whom he married August 10, 1963 in Hastings, children; Bernard “Butch” (Michelle Boyer), Julia (Robert) Fisher, Patrick (Debbie Holliday), and Denneen (Dewey) Noland, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, brother, William, and sisters; Martha and Arlene. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Martin enjoyed farming, hunting, and going to the flea markets. Retired from Hines Equipment, Cresson as the number 1 mechanic after many years of service. Member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Cresson, where a funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Wednesday, Rev. Leo Arnone, celebrant. Interment, St. Bonifice Cemetery.
