Marlene D. Barr, 85, of Altoona, died January 9, 2023 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born August 5, 1937 in Altoona, daughter of the late Joseph and Loleda (Kibler) Ferrone. Preceded in death by grandson, Anthony Harding, sister, Mary Ann Blazier, and brothers; Gary, Wayne, and Robert “Buddy”. Survived by husband of 66 years, Frank “Snook” Barr whom she married April 14, 1956 in Altoona, daughters; Sherry Church of Altoona, and Bobbi Ann (Scott) Gressley of Altoona, 4 grandchildren; Michael (Tracy) Harding, Nancy (Rick) Musselman, Jessica Gressley and Angela Shore, 7 great grandchildren, brother, Steve (Christine) Ferrone, numerous nieces and nephews and best friends, Corky Rouser and Gail Chirdon. Marlene enjoyed bowling, playing pinochle, and going to Rocky Gap to gamble. At the request of the deceased there will be no viewing or services.
