Margaret L. “Peggy” Johnston, 67, Ashville, died February 28, 2023 at home. Born September 3, 1955 in Altoona, daughter of the late John G. and Helena M. (McGuire) Patz. Preceded in death by infant daughter Jennifer Ann, and these brothers and sisters: Regina Patz, Helena Mary Patz, Elizabeth Pfeister, Thomas, Donald, Theodore and Richard, sister in law, Donna Patz, and brothers in law, Mike Bradley, Harry Myers, and Tom Hinton. Survived by husband of 46 years, Robert Johnston, whom she married September 3, 1976 in Ashville, son, Shawn, and daughter, Shannon (Jeremy) Fisher, grandchildren, Finnegan and Abigail, brothers and sisters: John (Dolores) Patz, Kenneth Patz, Wayne (Elie) Patz, Rose Bradley, Emma Myers, and Anna Hinton. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Peggy enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, going to yard sales, swimming and going to the beach. She had worked as a seamstress in Cresson and Gallitzin sewing factories, and later worked as a certified nurses aid for Golden Living Center, Altoona and Garvey Manor, Hollidaysburg.
