Lynn A. Traveny, 88, of Fallentimber, died September 20, 2022 at home. Born December 8, 1933 in Coalport, son of the late August and Bertha (Brink) Traveny. Preceded in death by son, Keenan Traveny, daughter in law, Nancy (Bradford) Traveny, and brothers; Eugene and Roger. Survived by wife, the former Carrol McCombs, children; Athena “Kim” Ferguson of Alabama, Melinda “Dawn” Callahan of Savanah, GA, Sherry Traveny of Cresson, Terri (Mark) Simmers of Laramie, WY, Eric (Deb Skiver) Traveny of Wall, SD, Timothy (Rebecca Grimes) Traveny of Palmyra, Nathaniel Traveny (Deanie Davis) of Melissa, TX, and Daniel (Helen) Traveny of Jensen Beech, FL, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Sisters; Nancy Hamilton, Beatrice Johnson, Beverly Peacock, Betty Lou Morrow, and Pamela Repsher, brothers; Clifford, Dennis and Gordon. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Lynn retired in 1974 from the United States Air Force after 24 years of service. He enjoyed panning for gold, hunting, and playing bingo. He was a faithful patron of Josie’s Restaurant, Coalport, Life member of the Coalport VFW and member of the Beaver Valley United Methodist Church. A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family, with Military Rites provided by the Coalport VFW.
