Lucille V. Whiteford, 99, of Erie, formerly of Patton, died December 8, 2023, in Erie. She was born July 5, 1924, in Munster Township, daughter of the late Robert and Clothilda (Willebrand) Shiber. Preceded in death by husband, William L. “Bud” Whiteford on October 4, 2010, brothers: Francis, Robert, and Eugene “Charles” Shiber, sisters: Mary Gertrude Orlosky, Eileen Shiber, and Laverne Conrad. Survived by children: Leonard W. (Margaret McMullen) of Patton, Nancy Marie Whiteford of Altoona, and Gerald P. (Susan Yeager) of Waterford, 8 grandchildren: Laura Whiteford, Christopher (Kristen) Whiteford, Marcus Whiteford, Catherine (Christopher) Wilson, Patrick (Michelle) Whiteford, Rev. Father David Whiteford,  Thomas Whiteford, and Elizabeth Whiteford, 3 great grandchildren: Leonard Whiteford, and George and Daniel Wilson. Lucille was the last member of her immediate family. She retired in 1988 after 29 years of service as a seamstress from Publix and Eagle Ware Shirt Factory, Gallitzin. Lucille was a former member of the Catholic Daughters of America, Barnesboro Court # 722, She was also a former active member of the Altar Rosary Society, ICBU, and Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Patton, where a funeral Mass will be Celebrated at 11:00 AM Saturday, Rev. Ananias OSB and Rev. David Whiteford (grandson) will concelebrate. Committal, St. Mary Cemetery, Patton. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM Friday at the Gibbons Funeral Home, 1688 Liberty St., Ashville, PA 16613, where a Vigil Service will be held Friday. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Lucille’s memory.
