Louann (Sunderland) Wendle, 69, of Altoona, died January 8, 2024, at UPMC Altoona. Born May 25, 1954, in Altoona, daughter of the late Donald R. and Mary Elizabeth (Gault) Sunderland. Preceded in death by an infant son, Rusty Wendle, sister, Vicky Wertz, sisters-in-law, Clarabell Sunderland and Penny Sunderland and brother-in-law James Garman. Survived by children: Jerry (Lisa) Wendle of Altoona, Donald Wendle of Altoona, Thomas (Cindy) Wendle of Hollidaysburg, and Mindy (Patrick) Eckenrode of Gallitzin, 12 grandchildren: Dylan Wendle (Jaymi), Amber (Brad) Streightiff, Jordan (Renee) Wendle, Donnie (Tessa) Wendle, Jasmine Patterson, Danica (Kamden) Sipes, Emilee Cuff, Ronnie, Derek, and Taylor Baum, and Logan and Erynn Eckenrode, 13 great-grandchildren: Braxton, Colson, Levi, Camden, Carter, Adelina, Oakley, Bryson, Hunter, Parker, Brooklynn, Penelope, and D.J. brothers: Gary, Samuel (Shirley), Marty (Rhonda) and Rusty (Dorothy) all of Altoona, sister, Donna Garman of Martinsburg, and numerous nieces and nephews. Louann enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, creating plastic canvas and attending church. Member of the Trans4mation Church, Altoona. Friends will be received Thursday from 10:00 AM until time of funeral Service at noon at the Trans4formation Church, Rev. James Balzano, officiating.
