Linda M. “Sunshine” Sukala, 76, of Coalport, died September 18, 2023, at UPMC Altoona. Born April 22, 1947, in Philipsburg daughter of the late Irvin “Chubby” and Martha Jane “Chickie” (Stodart) Close. Preceded in death by sister, Rebecca DeVinney, and brother-in-law, Bill Sukala. Survived by husband of 50 years, Michael Sukala, whom she married March 9, 1973 in Winchester, VA, children: Charles Jr. (Rhonda) Ginter of Fallentimber, Gretchen (Alvin Jr.) Keith, Michelle Swab (Michael Wineland), Heather (Adam) Clarkson all of Coalport, 10 grandchildren; Eliza (Joel) Sandoval, Jared Keith, Gabriel Keith (Abbi), Devon Keith, Jeremy Keith, Mallorie Keith, Zachary (Paige) Krepps, Kyle Krepps, Isabella Wineland, and Aerian (Shane) Hartline, 5 great grandchildren; Scarlett, Ella, Warren, Major, and Mack, sister, Kathy Swoop of Glen Hope, brother-in-law, John Sukala of Hollidaysburg, sister-in-law, Vickie Sukala of Coalport and numerous nieces and nephews. Linda enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, reading, crocheting, and traveling. There will be a private viewing held at the convenience of the family.
