Leon F. Dixon, 78, of Fallentimber, passed away on Monday December 13, 2021 at Conemaugh Nason Medical Center, Roaring Spring after complications from diabetes and Covid 19. Born March 30, 1943 in Coalport, son of the late Charles and Elda (McCartney) Dixon. Preceded in death by sisters; Luetta Westover, Ida Smiley, Peg Canteli, Florence Williams, and Joanne Dudurich, and brothers; Dean and John. Survived by wife of 53 years, the former Connie L. Campbell, whom he married November 2, 1968 at Fiske United Methodist Church, Fallentimber, daughters; Dana L. Glass and Lisa S. Clutter, 4 grandsons; Sean, Erik, Ryan, and Travis, sister, Phyllis (John) Deadmore, brother, Clair “Jim” (Nancy Adams), and numerous nieces and nephews. Leon retired from American General Life Insurance Company, Altoona after many years of service. He enjoyed spending time with his cat, Tyrone, his dog Sally, and camping, hunting, and fishing. Leon was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam Era War where he served as a Military Policeman and in the Color Guard while stationed in Germany from 1963 until 1967. A graveside service will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Glasgow on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at 2:00 PM with Military Honors.
