Larry J. Matish, 73, of Gallitzin, died October 27, 2024, at home. Born October 17, 1953, in Altoona, son of the late Joseph Sr. and Lorraine (Briggs) Matish. Preceded in death by brother Joseph Jr. He is survived by wife, the former Diana Hale, whom he married October 1, 1977, in Ashville, sons: Philip (Shannon), and Steven, 3 grandchildren: Liam, Colin, and Sagan, and brother, Bruce (Brenda). Larry enjoyed going to his grandchildren’s events, being at home and in his garage, morning breakfast at McDonald’s with his friends in Cresson, and building and racing stockcars. He worked as a mail carrier for many years, and retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad, Altoona. At the request of the deceased there will be no viewing or service.
