Kristi L. "Kiki" (Shugarts) Grimes

Kristi L. “Kiki” Grimes, 53, of Mark Hanna Road, Ashville, died February 21, 2023 in the Emergency Room at UPMC Altoona with her family by her side. She was born August 6, 1969 in Altoona, daughter of Frank and Donna (Jackson) Shugarts. Preceded in death by her father, sister, Dana Wiser, father in law, Elliott Grimes, and nephew Andrew Grimes. Survived by mother, Donna Wiser of Pinecroft, husband of 33 years James “Bub” whom she married February 23, 1990 in Cumberland, MD, siblings; Renee (Rob) Kennsinger of Henrietta, Mike (Jourdanne) Wiser of Altoona, Darci (Jamie) Bacza of Altoona and Brett Shugarts of Altoona, mother in law, Theresa (Gailey) Grimes of Mark Hanna Road, Ashville, sisters in law, Connie (Jason) Miller of Cresson, Lori McElheny of Mark Hanna Road, Ashville, and brother in law, Larry (Stephanie Mazur) Grimes of Coupon, nieces and nephews; Ashlee, Emma, Kati, Luke, Jake, Rachael, Lawrence, Victoria, and Sarah. Kiki loved Bub with all her heart, they lived their lives for one another, she also loved bunnies, books and BTS. She was given the name Kiki when Rachael was learning to talk. Her nieces and nephews were her pride and joy. She had worked as an EMT for the Lilly Volunteer Ambulance Service for many years, and later for Wal Mart, Altoona for 17 years. Kiki belonged to various book clubs on the internet. At the request of the deceased there will be no viewing. A Celebration of her Life will be held at a later date.
