Jerome D. “Jerry” Skebeck, 77, of Blain City, R.D. Coalport, died December 7, 2024, at his residence. He was born August 4, 1947, in Blain City, son of the late William and Margrett (Freeman) Skebeck. Preceded in death by infant siblings, Ernest and Louise, brother Thomas, sister-in-law, Patricia Skebeck, and brother-in-law, John O’Donnell. He is survived by siblings: William (Deanna), James, F. Vincent (Patricia), Patrick (Cathy), Donna O’Donnell, Marge (Thomas) Master, and Matthew, who was raised in the home. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. In 1967 Jerry obtained a license as a certified butcher/meatcutter from Ohio Meat Cutting School. He was employed for 48 years as a butcher at Penn State University, State College, Riverside Market, Clearfield, and at Shop and Save Market, Cresson. Jerry was an avid hunter. He loved gardening, and working on his 2 farms, and he enjoyed walking and spending time with his dog, Dingo. He was loved and will be greatly missed by his family. Jerry attended St. Basil Catholic Church, Coalport, where a funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 :00 AM Friday, Rev. Marc Solomon, Celebrant. Committal, St. Basil Cemetery.
