Jeanne M. Eckenrode, 94, a resident of Maple Winds Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center, Potage, formerly of Cresson and Ashville, died November 5, 2024, at Maple Winds. She was born August 6, 1930, in Mark Hanna, R.D. Ashville, daughter of the late Francis and Anna (Bradley) Batulis. Preceded in death by husband, Frank on August 7, 2003, son, Lynn, daughter, Frances Crum, grandson, Michael Lee, brother, John and special friend Larry Hanlon. Survived by grandchildren: Courtney Custer, Brian Lee (Carrie Moser), and Laura Wagner, great grandson, Connor Lee, son-in-law, Fredrick Gordon Lee, and several nieces and nephews. Jeanne was the last member of her immediate family. She enjoyed playing bingo, scratch-off-tickets, gambling at the casino, and crocheting. She had worked at Sylvania in Altoona for 27 years and retired in 1985.  Life Member of Ashville VFW and Sankertown VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Member of Cresson Senior Citizens, Legion of Mary and St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Cresson, where a funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 PM Friday, Rev. Leo Arnone, Celebrant. Committal, St. Michael Cemetery, Loretto. Friends will be received from noon until 1:00 PM Friday at the Gibbons Funeral Home, 1688 Liberty St., Ashville, PA 16613.
