Jean B. Strong, 76, a resident of Ridgeview Eldercare & Rehabilitation, Curwensville, formerly of Coalport, died January 8, 2025, at Ridgeview. She was born March 20, 1948, in Rosebud, daughter of the late James and June (Hill) Gatehouse. Preceded in death by husband, Thomas Ray Strong on May 28, 2005, daughter Tammy Jo Strong March 1, 2008, and brother Clifton Gatehouse. Survived by daughters: Pamela Jean Strong and Tina Mortimer, grandson, Daniel Bloom Jr., and siblings: James Gatehouse Jr., William (Judy) Gatehouse, Jane Lewis, and Joanne (Larry) Johnson. Jean enjoyed playing bingo, art, and putting puzzles together. She had worked at Sears Roebuck in Columbia, Maryland for many years. Friends will be received from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM Saturday ay the Gibbons Funeral Home, 1085 Main St., Coalport, PA 16627. Interment will be at Spangle Cemetery, Coalport, PA.
