Obituary

James M. Lesniak, 56, Columbus, Ohio, formerly of Altoona, died October 14, 2022 in Columbus. Born June 25, 1966 in Altoona, son of Theodore “Ted” and Donna (Baker) Lesniak. Preceded in death by father on February 11, 2004. Survived by mother, brother, Brian ((Patti Lane), sister, Lori Lesniak, nieces; Alexis “Lexy” and Ella Lesniak and nephew, Connor Lesniak. Also survived by several aunts and uncles. Jim was a Marine Corps Veteran of the Gulf War. He enjoyed hunting, and worked as an airline mechanic for Netjets for 20 years. Member of the Ashville VFW. Friends will be received from 2:00 PM until time of funeral service at 4:00 PM Wednesday at the Gibbons Funeral Home, 1688 Liberty St., Ashville, PA 16613, Rev. Robert Reese officiating. Committal will be at St. Thomas Cemetery, Ashville. Military Rites are in charge of Ashville VFW and other Local Military Organizations. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Jim’s memory. www.gibbonsfhashvillecoalport.com
