Obituary

James L. Kensinger Sr., 74, of Dysart, died May 9, 2023 at UPMC Altoona. Born May 8, 1949, in Altoona, son of the late James C. and Mary Ellen (Rossiter) Kensinger. Preceded in death by son, James L. Kensinger Jr., and sister Janet Wills. Survived by wife of 52 years, the former Carol A. Matthew, whom he married September 19, 1970, in Ashville, sons; Lee of Patton and Patrick of Dysart, 3 grandchildren; Brittany, Kara, and Clayton, 2 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Jim enjoyed hunting and fishing. He worked as a mechanic for most of his life. At the request of the deceased there will be no viewing or services.
