Hunter Benjamin Hamilton, 28, of Lyleville, Coalport, PA passed away on Sunday March 9, 2025, after a short but courageous battle with Melanoma. The son of Richard A. and Kim E. (Peacock) Hamilton, and devoted brother to Patrick (Brittany Lantz). Preceded in death by paternal grandfather, David C. Hamilton Sr., and maternal grandfather Donald J. Peacock. Survived by grandmothers, Ann Hamilton, and Alice J. O’Donnell, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. A proud U.S. Army veteran. Hunter lived life with passion and a free spirit. He found joy on the open road, riding his Harley Davidson, and was a member of the Animals MC, and Glendale Volunteer Fire Department. An avid outdoorsman, he loved hunting, exploring nature, and cheering on the Pittsburgh Penguins. During his final days, his brother Patrick never left his side, tirelessly caring for him with gentle compassion and love. Hunter was known for his infectious smile, legendary eyelashes--“like a broom”-- and his ability to give the best hugs. His warmth, and larger than life presence will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who were lucky enough to know him. Friends will be received Tuesday, March 11, 2025, from 5 until 8 PM and Wednesday, March 12, 2025, from 10AM until time of funeral service at 11:00 AM, at the Gibbons Funeral Home, 1085 Main St., Coalport, PA 16627, Rev. Jonathan Hendren officiating. Interment, Utahville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Central PA Humane Society in Hunter’s memory.
