Helen A. Vaux, 86, of Loretto, died April 19, 2023, at the Good Samaritan Hospice Unit of the Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown, PA. She died of complications following pneumonia. Helen was born on October 12, 1936, in Philipsburg, PA to John and Ruth (Gutshall) Chutko. Helen is survived by her husband, Thomas Vaux of 70 years; her two daughters, Cathy (Gary) Houck of Poland, Ohio and Theresa Angelotti (Jay DeLisa) of Johnstown, PA; her granddaughter, Toni-Ann (Brian) Obey of Delmont, PA and three great-grandsons: Jalen Russell, Ayden Hastie, and Kingston Obey; sister, Jackie Sevetsky, and brother, Tom Chutko. She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandson, Brian Angelotti; and three sisters: Mary Moyer, Patty Harper, and Delphine Chutko. Helen was an Executive Secretary for the President of St. Francis Seminary, and also the Central Pennsylvania Coal Association. She spent many years in Administration at the Cresson Lake Playhouse and assisted in stage managing. She enjoyed gardening, homemaking, and traveling. She was kind with a quick laugh and loved dearly by many. Friends will be received from 5PM until 8 PM Monday and from 9 :00 AM until time of funeral service at 10:00 AM Tuesday at the Gibbons Funeral Home, 1688 Liberty St., Ashville, PA 16613, Very Rev.
