George E. Banks Obituary

George Banks, 86, of Ebensburg, died March 20, 2025, at home surrounded by family. He was born July 8, 1938, in South Fork, son of the late Thomas and Alberta (Stigerts) Banks. Preceded in death by step-daughter, Kimberly Stephens, and sister, Betty Seashore. Survived by wife the former LaVerne Farabaugh whom he married in 1991 in Ebensburg, 3 daughters and several grandchildren. George was the last member of his immediate family. He retired from the US Navy after 25 years of service. George enjoyed golfing. He was a member of the VFW, Legion, and Moose, all of Ebensburg. At the request of the deceased there will be no viewing. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
