Elizabeth “Betty” Campbell, 98, of Altoona, died December 5, 2023. Born September 16, 1925, in Ashville, daughter of the late Martin C. and Elizabeth A. (Lenz) Hollern. Preceded in death by husband, James Campbell on April 30, 1969, son Jimmy, brothers: Dale, Charles, Martin, and infant Patrick, and sisters: Carol Long, Rose Marie Prevost, and Mary “Mae” Hollern. Survived by her son Patrick of Altoona, 2 grandchildren: Paul and Kelly, sisters: Veronica (Jerry) Kelly of Harrisburg, and Joan Usaitis of Shiremanstown, and brother, Paul (Judy) Hollern of Altoona. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Betty enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, cooking and Polka dancing. She had worked as a caregiver for Blair Senior Services and Health South Rehabilitation. Former member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Altoona. Friends will be received from 5 until 7 PM Thursday and from 9 AM until time of funeral service at 10:00 AM Friday at the Gibbons Funeral Home, 1688 Liberty St., Ashville, PA 16613, Rev. Msgr.
