Elaine “Polly” Gates, 84, of Flinton, died September 2, 2024, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 17, 1939, in Clearfield, daughter of the late Wilford and Velma (Goodwin) Lewis. Preceded in death by brother, Ike. Survived by husband of 66 years, Gene L. whom she married November 9, 1957, in Winchester VA., children: Richard “Rick” (Cherie), Brian (Chantel), Kevin (Samantha), Duane, and Debra “Deb” (Wayne “Skip”) Beatty, 8 grandchildren: Elam (Katie), Riyo, Brian (Crystal), Grace, Bradley, Gigi, Shyann (Jimmy), and Dravin (Payton), 6 great grandchildren: Kaylee, Aaden, Callaway “Callie”, Finley, Ava, and Cora, Brothers, twins, Robert (Verla), and Jack (Loretta “Queenie”), sister-in-law Barbara, numerous nieces and nephews, and special friends and caregivers: Carla, Julie, Kayla, Jamie and numerous others. Polly enjoyed spending time with family and friends, her pets, camping, baking, reading, and dancing. Member of Five Points Church, Westover. Friends will be received from 5 until 8 PM Wednesday and from 10:00 AM until time of funeral service at 11:00 AM Thursday at the Gibbons Funeral Home, 1085 Main St., Coalport, PA 16613, Rev.
