Edward R. Sinclair, 73, Flinton, died July 19, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born February 19, 1948 in Philipsburg, son of the late Earl F. and Edna B. (Killion) Sinclair. Preceded in death by brothers and sisters; Chester, Robert, Barbara Herman, and Loy “Honey” Gallaher. Survived by wife of 49 years, the former Rita Black, whom he married May 13, 1972 in Coalport, sons; Edward (Jennifer) of Clearfield and Stephen (Cecelia) of Flinton, grandchildren; Devin, Hunter, Ryan, Tyler, and Emily, sister in law, Judy Sinclair and brother in law, Fred Gallaher. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Ed was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He enjoyed spending time with his family, antique cars, motorcycles, and working in his garage. He had worked for Barnes and Tucker Coal Mines, Nicktown for 15 years, and he retired as a correction officer from SCI Houtzdale in 2004. Life member of the Coalport VFW and the NRA. Ed attended the Coalport Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Thursday at the Gibbons Funeral Home, 1085 Main St., Coalport, PA 16627, and from 10 AM until time of funeral service at 11 AM Friday at the Coalport Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, Rev.
