E. James O’Donnell, 83, of Fallentimber, died August 26, 2023. Born October 31, 1939, in Utahville, son of the late Benjamin E. and Dorothy M. (Roach) O’Donnell. Preceded in death by grandsons: Bryan Fudrow and Cory O’Donnell, and brother William O’Donnell. Survived by wife of almost 62 years, the former Marie Shomo, whom he married September 2, 1961, in Coalport, children: Judith (Frank) Fudrow, Julie O’Donnell, Bob (Lisa Gavlak), Joan (Mike) McKenzie, Lisa (Mike) Rainville, and Jim (Jess Wahl), 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, sister, Alice O’Donnell, brothers: Ben (Julie Weaver), and Denny (Mary Ellen Baum). Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Jim retired from the Air Force after 20 years of service. He served during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. After retirement from the Military he later worked for TYK Brick Yard, Irvona and retired in 1997. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed hunting and golf. Jim was a third degree member of the Knights of Columbus 9622 Council, Frugality, and a 4th degree member of the Prince Gallitzin 919 Assembly. He was also a member of St. Basil Catholic Church, Coalport, where a funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Tuesday, Rev. Zab Amar, Celebrant. Committal, St. Basil Cemetery, Coalport. Friends will be received from 4 until 8 PM Monday at the Gibbons Funeral Home, 1085 Main St., Coalport, PA 16627 where a Vigil Service will be held along with the Knights of Columbus Memorial Service.
