Dorothy A. “Dot” Carl, 86, of R.D. Dysart, died November 24, 2022 at UPMC Altoona. Born November 28, 1935 in Dean, daughter of the late Fortunato “Snat” and Margaret (Reghetti) Funicelli. Preceded in death by husband, Jerome “Nix” on November 17, 2020, daughter, Sharon Becker on March 24, 2000, and these brothers and sisters; James, Eileen Dietrich, John, Dominic, Ray, Marcella Brown, and Robert. Survived by children; Cindy Farrell, Robert (Joann Storm), Pam (Jeffrey) Anna, and Janet (David) Grove, son in law, Ronald (Rhoda) Becker, 12 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren with 2 on the way, sisters; Mary Alice (Richard) McNulty and Betty Ann Sutton, special nephew, Scott (Kim) Kranz and numerous other nieces and nephews. Dot enjoyed bowling and crocheting. She had worked as a rural mail carrier out of the Dysart and Patton offices for 41 years. Dot was a life member of the Cambria County Farm Bureau, she was also a member of the Early Bird Bowling League, Hastings, the Red Hat Society, Cresson, St. Augustine Altar Rosary Society and St. Augustine Catholic Church, where a funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Tuesday, Rev. Jerzy Auguscik OFM, Celebrant. Committal, St. Augustine Cemetery. Friends will be received from 3 until 7 PM Monday at the Gibbons Funeral Home, 1688 Liberty St., Ashville, PA 16613, where a Vigil Service will be held Monday.
