Donald P. “Curly” Watt, 71, of Loretto, died February 5, 2025, at Conemaugh Miner’s Medical Center, Hastings surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 20, 1953, in Spangler, son of the late Frederick and Alma (Blackstone) Watt. Preceded in death by these brothers and sisters: William J., Fred G., Jim, Flo Ehrhart, Kathy Wisilosky, Herman, Robert “Bo”, and Richard, and fiancé, Carla. Survived by children: Darrell (Becky) Watt, Dawn Lynn (Keith) Lidwell, Gabrielle Watt (Scott), and BillyJo Watt (Colin), 5 grandchildren: Donovan, Alivia, Emma, Morgan, and Claire, brothers and sisters: Dave (Sheryl) Watt, Dot (Steve) Draper, Ken “Sixty” (Kathie) Watt, Betty (Ray) Murray, Gloria Watt, and John (Edna) Watt, brother and sisters-in-law: Ellie Watt, Frank Wisilosky, Cindy Watt, and Louann Watt, numerous nieces and nephews, and his dog Axel. Don was a proud Army Veteran of the Vietnam Era War. He enjoyed spending time in the outdoors with his family, hunting, fishing, motorcycles, and antique cars. Don was a life-long truck driver and he ended his career with Merlo Construction. He was a member of the Gallitzin American Legion and the Sankertown VFW. Friends will be received from 1 :00 PM until 4:00 PM Sunday and from 9:00 AM until time of funeral service at 10:00 AM Monday, at the Gibbons Funeral Home, 1688 Liberty St., Ashville, PA 16613, Rev. Albert Ledoux officiating. Interment, St. Thomas Cemetery, Ashville. Military Rites in charge of Gallitzin American Legion, Sankertown VFW and other Local Military Organizations. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to a Local Military Organization in Don’s memory
