Donald F. Parrish, 90, native of Cresson, died December 14, 2023. Born June 5, 1933, in Cresson, son of the late Charles and Edna (Butler) Parrish. Preceded in death by wife, the former Nancy Louchart on January 6, 2011, son Joseph, along with a sister Dorothy, and a brother James. Survived by his fiancé, the former Jean (Wyland) Beyer of New Germany, sons Donn of Pittsburgh, PA and Dave (Cheryl) of Rochester, PA, along with 3 grandchildren, 5 nieces, sisters in law, Sally Macko and Arlette Lantz, and dear friend Ed Jenkins. Don was a 1952 graduate of Cresson High School, and went on to receive an associate degree from College of Philadelphia. Don worked for the Fish and Game Commission for 28 years. His stories were evidence of his fondness for the outdoors. Don was an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War. He enjoyed fishing, loved to dance, and sing karaoke. At Don’s request there will be no visitation. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 6, 2024 (4:00 PM) at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, New Germany, PA.
