David Ray Swinger lll, 18, of Lilly, died October 3, 2024, as a result of an automobile accident on Route 53 in Gallitzin Township. He was born January 12, 2006, in Johnstown, son of David Ray Jr. and Regina A. (Walters) Swinger. Preceded in death by uncles, Travis and Keith Swinger. Survived by his parents and brother, Drake, paternal grandparents, David and Kimberly (Plummer) Swinger, maternal grandparents, William Richard Sr. and Joan (Kearney) Walters, girlfriend, Hannah McMahon, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. David was the Prince of Lilly at the 200 year anniversary of Lilly in 2006. He was a 2024 graduate of Penn Cambria High School, Cresson, and Admiral Peary Vocational Technical School, Ebensburg.  David was an avid motorsport enthusiast and belonged to the AMA Motor Sports Association. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and welding. He loved going to the Breezewood Proving Grounds. A member of Our Lady of the Alleghenies Roman Catholic Church, Lilly, where a funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Tuesday, Rev. Matthew Reese, Celebrant. Committal, Our Lady of the Alleghenies Mount Carmel Cemetery, Lilly. Friends will be received from 4 until 8 PM Monday at the Gibbons Funeral Home, 1688 Liberty St., Ashville, PA, where a Vigil Service will be held Monday afternoon.
